Standoff formed in early 1999 under the name Militant Intervention . They play New School Hardcore with lots of crazy fast parts . They don't play very many shows yet , and have gone through 3 bassists since forming in Febuary . Live this band displays a ton of energy . They all have very different backgrounds . Josh the vocalist has Hardcore, Metal and Punk influences . Ryan the drummer has an Emo background . Mike the bassist has Jazz, Ska, and Hardcore roots .
